A Lamb of God
The Bible tells us in Revelation 5:12 that "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing." The Lamb that is being referred to is Yahshua. An important question needs to be asked as to why is a lamb so important and counted worthy. Lambs can be seen as a symbol of innocence. They do not judge or accuse. Romans 8:36 tells us "We are all counted as sheep to the slaughter." What did Paul mean by this as he wrote this letter? Another verse Paul provides will help us better understand this verse. Paul, in Galatians 2:20, writes "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me." The crucification and cross we are told to carry daily is a spiritual one. Paul followed in the footsteps of Yahshuah by surrendering his will daily. Yahshuah even stated "Father not my will, but your will be done!" Those that desire to become Lambs of God, must surrender their life to God. Some may be asking how can there be more than one Lamb of God. 1 John 4:17 tells us "As he is, so are we in this world." So if Yahshuah is the Lamb of God, do you not think he desires for you to become as a Lamb? Think about it. Now let's look at the Strong's word for Lamb which is H7716. This is the word "seh/sey" in Hebrew. It is written with the letters Samekh (Rod) and Hey (A Man/Behold). The Father is telling us that his Lambs are those that will receive his instruction which is the rod. This is not a comfortable process. Oftentimes, the rod is associated with chastisement and correction. What is so powerful about these two pictographs of the rod and a man is that they also reveal that those that are Lambs of God, that have submitted their life to God and have allowed him to guide them with His rod and staff, will be his authority in the Earth. The second meaning of the pictograph of a lamb is the "Rod Being Revealed." The same Lamb that was slain in the same Lamb, Yahshuah, that in Revelation 2:27 will rule the nations with as a rod of iron. The second definition for Lamb in Hebrew, provided by Strong's H6629 "tson/tseon." This word for Lamb is written with the Hebrew letters Tsade (Journey) and Nun (Sperm). When we piece this together, we are given the "Journey of the Word of God." Yahshuah is the Word of God and Lamb of God. We can clearly see the journey and purpose prepared for Him before the foundation of the world. In conclusion, you are a Lamb of God, when you surrender your will to the Father. By submitting to his authority, he prepares you to become his authority in the Earth.
