Free from Iniquity
How can we become free from Iniquity? First let's answer the question "What is Iniquity?" In the Old Testament, iniquity is the word "Avon" H5771. The picture that the Ancient Hebrew provides us is a twisted rope and a man. These symbols refer back to the parent. Iniquity is something that is handed down from generation to generation. Exodus 20:5 says "I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me." If we are bound to the flesh, we are bound to iniquity. This is why Yahshua said in John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." Our instructions for being born again are provided in 1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever." This incorruptible seed is the Word of God, it is our Identity in Christ, Yahshua. We have the choice to remain in the flesh and identify with the corruptible seed, who we are in the natural flesh, or we can identify with who we are in the spirit, when we take on our identity in Yahshua and are lead by his Word. There are two seeds present in our life, and it is our choice to decide which seed we will allow to live and die. If our identity is in the flesh, we remain in our Iniquity. There is a man who the Lord will not impute Iniquity to though. Who is this man? In Psalms 32:2 it states "Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity , and in whose spirit there is not guile." This is not an ordinary man! King David had a revelation of the Son of God not born of flesh and blood, but born of the Spirit of God. If you study out this word "man," you will notice it is Strong's H120. It is the word "Adam," a Son of God, created in the image of the Father, the Living Word of God. If your Identity is in Yahshua, you no longer have connections to the flesh, you are from above and not below. There is not any Iniquity found in the "Adam" that takes their identity in Yahshua.
